Assassin's Creed and Dragon Age Devs Founded a New Studio
The creators, who in the past worked on well-known series such as Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed or Watch Dogs, founded a new studio - Yellow Brick Games. The team includes, among others, Mike Laidlaw, former creative director of DA.
Developers who have worked on Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs and Dragon Age series in the past decided to establish a brand new development studio, called Yellow Brick Games. The fifteen-member team includes such personalities as Mike Laidlaw (creative director of the Dragon Age series, who left BioWare in October 2017 after 14 years, then went to Ubisoft for about a year), Thomas Giroux (previously worked in Ubisoft on AC and WD), Jeff Skalski or Frédéric St-Laurent B. (both are former Ubisoft employees associated with the AC series).
"For veterans of big-studio productions like myself and much of our team, this is the perfect time to get back to a small, agile, and highly motivated group. We want our games here at Yellow Brick to take potentially millions of players on wonderous journeys, and we want every member of our team to have a direct impact on the new worlds we’re creating," said Laidlaw.
We don't know what the first project of Yellow Brick Games will be, but with such a crew we can certainly expect a lot. All that remains is to wait for more information.
