Assassin's Creed 4 Gets New Update 10 Years After Release
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag was released in 2013 and gained recognition as one of the best installments in the Assassin's Creed series. The game introduced new gameplay elements, such as sea battles and ranged combat. Now, ten years after its release, Assassin's Creed 4 is getting a surprise update.
Ubisoft cares about the gaming community
Update 1.08 to Assassin's Creed IV, released specifically for PC, takes up 12 MB on Steam and 13 MB on Ubisoft Connect. It resolves an issue with running the game in windowed mode. While the update may not seem spectacular, it shows that Ubisoft cares about its community and is sometimes willing to invest in fixes even for ten-year-old games.
Back to the Caribbean adventure
Assassin's Creed IV enables the players to take on the role of Edward Kenway and bring their pirate fantasies to life. As Edward, players explore the fascinating world of the Caribbean, full of mysterious islands, lost treasures and dangerous enemies. Although not as recognizable as the iconic Ezio Auditore, Edward Kenway has earned his place in the hearts of fans and earned his status as one of the most memorable characters in the history of the series.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is available on multiple platforms, including PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One, so a wide audience can still enjoy the adventure.
Ubisoft still has ambitious plans for the Assassin's Creed series, including the upcoming Assassin's Creed Mirage and at least four more games, including one designed for VR. What's more, there are rumors about a full-fledged remake of Assassin's Creed 4, which is likely to generate excitement among fans.
