ArmA 4 with Release Window. Bohemia Interactive Will Severely Test Fans' Patience with a Long Wait Ahead
Bohemia Interactive announced the release window for the highly anticipated realistic shooter ArmA 4. However, fans have to be patient.
Bohemia Interactive is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its existence today. On this occasion, a concert was organized by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. The event is now over (see the link at the end of the post), but the most important thing is that it brought something very unexpected – the release window of ArmA 4. As our editorial colleague noticed, a trailer was showcased, which suggests that the anticipated shooter will be released in 2027 and will be set during the Cold War.
At the moment, this trailer is not yet available as a separate, official clip. Nevertheless, it brought extremely joyful news for fans of the ArmA series, as they have been demanding the fourth full-fledged installment from at least 2022 (the announcement took place in May 2022). Indeed, they still need to show a considerable amount of patience, but at least they already have a date they can look forward to.
Work on ArmA 4 is taking so long because Bohemia Interactive decided to change the engine. The game will use the Enfusion technology, which we already know from last year's Arma Reforger. This decision helped to port the game to XSX/S (the PS5 version is expected to be released by the end of this year). As for ArmA 4, the switch to the Enfusion Engine should result in better optimization and even greater realism, for which the series is so famous. The title is heading exclusively to PC.
