Arknights RPG Spin-off Announced, First Gameplay Available
Hypergryph sets out to conquer a new market. Announced today, Arknights: Endfield will bring the popular tower defense game series to the RPG genre and PC at the same time.

The popular tower defense game series will get a strategic RPG installment. Arknights: Endfield is the newly announced spin-off, heading for PC and mobile devices.
The creators of the series from Hypergryph also showed footage from an early version of Endfield. There is not much action here - it's more of a presentation of the world of Talos-II, which players will travel with their party. You can watch the video and the cinematic trailer below.
Talos-II is a dangerous place, and even after years of colonizers' efforts, most of the planet remains unexplored. To change that, the eponymous Endfield Corporation sends groups of PFRD (Protocol Field Recovery Department) operators to prepare the ground for further expansion and uncover the secrets behind the catastrophic Decay that occasionally haunts the surface of Talos-II.
Arknights: Endfield is to offer not only a new story and heroes, but also new gameplay mechanics. The only problem is the works on the project are still at an early stage and the creators are still working out the details. So do not count on too many details.
For now, we know that the game will be divided into chapters, we will meet different sides and challenges, and will explore the world together with our companions (that is everything you would expect from an RPG). It was also confirmed that the gameplay will take place in real-time.
We'll have to wait for more information beyond that. For now, we refer to the game's official website, where you can find concept art from Arknights: Endfield.
