Fans Fix Latest Game From Steins;Gate Devs
The Committee of Zero group has finally released a mod that fixes the most serious problems of Anonymous;Code, the latest game from the creators of Steins;Gate.
Visual novel game Anonymous;Code, the latest installment in a series that also includes Steins;Gate, is scheduled to debut in September. The Western version of the game is generally good, but in keeping with the traditions of the series, it has some deeply annoying shortcomings. In the case of this brand, players can fortunately count on the group called Committee of Zero, which is making mods to fix the series' shortcomings. After several months of intensive work, the team has finally released such a modification for Anonymous;Code.
The project is simply called Steam Improvement Patch, and it brings many upgrades.
- Translation errors have been corrected.
- Translated text that is part of graphics (the standard version of the game translates only dialogues).
- Added missing subtitles for more than 500 audio lines. They remain untranslated in the standard version of the game if they were not accompanied by subtitles in the Japanese original. This is most likely due to the rush to force the translators to only localize the finished script, causing them to miss such lines. As a result, without the mod, many of the dialogues were left untranslated, if we opted for Japanese dubbing (in English there was no such problem).
- The intro and outro videos were replaced with new versions in higher resolution.
- Subtitles were added to karaoke sequences.
- Text formatting has been improved.
Recall that the English-language version of Anonymous;Code debuted on September 8, this year on PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and the mod is only available for the PC release.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that Committee of Zero has previously created similar mods for all other games in the series.
