Ubisoft posted the first Anno 2205 feature special video that explains multi-session gameplay. Basically, there will be up to 12 sessions running simultainously in the game. 9 of them will offer standard city building gameplay split into three different regions: the Temperate Zone, Arctic Zone, and Lunar Zone. All three bring forth various challenges, landscapes and architecture. As we progress we will be able to start building metropolises in new places, however, moving from one region to another will not mean we abandon our progress to date – even when we successfully fly to the Moon, at any given point we will be able to switch to our previously built cities back on Earth, still functioning in the background.

There are also two crisis zones featuring optional military conflicts. The last one is the space station, i.e. a hub for online features, such as the council, where players make game-related decisions collectively. I guess it will all become clearer when you watch the video below:

The upcoming installment in the popular economic strategy game series by Blue Byte Software is launching on November 3, 2015. Anno 2205 fans might also be interested in the Season Pass offering post-launch content.
