Alternate Ending for Android 17 of Piccolo’s Saga in Sparking Zero
Wondering how to unlock the alternate ending in the Android 17 stage of Piccolo’s Saga? This Sparking Zero Episode battle may seem bugged, but we know how to beat it.
Piccolo’s Saga isn’t the longest in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, but it features some really challenging stages. With many secondary objectives or Sparking Episodes, time is often of the essence, like in A New Power Awakens or Vegeta and Trunks. However, in the Android 17 stage, something different is required. This DB: Sparking Zero Guide will help you defeat Android 17 and Cell once and for all, unlocking the alternate ending.
DB: Sparking Zero – How to Unlock Alternate Ending in Android 17 Stage
Just a quick note before we dive in: there’s no next stage in Piccolo’s Saga, so don’t be surprised if the path to the right remains locked.
With Android 17 stage in Piccolo’s Saga, many players are convinced that the battle is bugged. The secondary objective for the alternate ending is:
- Defeat all enemies.
It doesn’t mention completing it “quickly” or “within given time”, so it doesn’t appear to be time related. However, many fans report the same issue: you need to be quick or lucky enough to avoid a glitch where, even after defeating Cell, the second fight with Android 17 gets interrupted prematurely.
Here’s what you need to do to unlock the alternate ending:
- Remember that secondary objectives cannot be completed on lower difficulty.
- During the first fight with Android 17, defeat him quickly, but most importantly, don’t lose any health bars.
- When Cell enters the fight, let him finish his speech. Only as he’s wrapping it up should you use the Hellzone Grenade. After that, Piccolo will begin his speech – let him finish as well.
- Use False Courage right after and just attack Cell with combos.
- Make sure you don’t lose too much health while fighting Cell – you’ll need at least 4 health bars when Android 17 re-enters the fight.
- Finish Android 17 quickly, and always make sure to have more health than him.
If you’re still struggling with this one, try to collect all Dragon Balls for Porunga, Shenron, or Super Shenron, and wish for a Dragon Orb. This special item can help make the secondary objectives in Episode battles easier.
