505 Games has informed of its intention to withdraw Alien: Blackout from sale. It's a mobile horror game that continues the story of the excellent Alien: Isolation.

  1. The publisher announced that Alien: Blackout will be withdrawn from sale on October 31, this year. On that day, the game will disappear from Google Play, App Store and Amazon Store.
  2. Those who purchase the game early will still be able to download it and continue playing.
  3. Alien: Blackout is a cheap game (around $1), so if you are interested in it, it is worth buying it before it becomes impossible.

Recall that Alien: Blackout was released in 2019. It is a premium game, which means that we pay for it once and there are no microtransactions or ads.

In terms of plot, it is a direct sequel to Alien: Isolation from 2014 and tells the story of the further fates of Amanda Ripley. A strong inspiration for the devs was the Five Nights at Freddy's series - as we observe events mainly through cameras. However, the option to give commands to the characters was also added, although they do not always follow our orders perfectly, making it difficult to avoid the aliens.

The game gathered moderately favorable reviews - on Metacritic the average rating is 68%. The title was received more enthusiastically by the players - on Google Play, the production has 4.1/5 stars, and on App Store - 4.7/5. What's more, Alien: Blackout turned out to be quite popular - it was downloaded more than half a million times on Google Play, although it should be added that a deal was organized in 2020, which for a short time enabled the users to get the game for free.
