Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition's African DLC to Launch in the Coming Weeks
Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition will soon get another expansion. The African Royals will introduce new content straight from humanity's cradle, which will keep us busy until the release of the fourth installment.
The fourth instalment of Age of Empires may be fast approaching, but there's still plenty of time left until the release (set for October 28). Before that we will get an expansion for the remastered Age of Empires III, announced in June. Today it was revealed that Age of Empires III: The African Royals will launch on August 2. The expansion will only be compatible with the definitive edition of the third installment.
As the name suggests, The African Royals will take us to Africa, where we will participate in the conflict of two new civilizations: Ethiopia and Hausa. Both will be distinguished by unique progression mechanics, in addition, a completely new resource in the form of influence, allowing for the acquisition of additional units and technologies. In addition, the expansion will introduce, among other things, three historical battles, 15 maps and more achievements on Steam.
