Actor Playing John Marston Talks About Red Dead Redemption 3
The actor providing the voice of John Marston shared his thoughts on the possible work on Red Dead Redemption 3. He would like to see the return of some familiar characters.
Red Dead Redemtion 2 is a game praised for, among other things, a beautiful story, a large, detailed world, very satisfying gameplay and, of course, memorable characters. Actor Rob Wiethoff, who provided the voice of John Marston in RDR and RDR2 , gave an interview in which he talked about his thoughts on the possible work on Red Dead Redemption 3.
John Marston wants to return in the next RDR
The author, using the pseudonym Sackchief on YouTube, who regularly publishes videos about video games, conducted a lengthy interview, lasting more than an hour, with the actor providing the voice of John Marston. At one point, the show's guest was asked, what he thought the game's setting would be like if Rockstar decided to make a Red Dead Redemption 3. Wiethoff comprehensively answered this question, but did not stop there, as he also shared other interesting thoughts.
- In his opinion, the story could be set in later times, when cars begin to appear on the roads. However, at that time, as he put it - it would no longer be a western.
- A much better idea would be, in his opinion, another prequel, in which the events of Blackwater would be depicted. The actor added that it would have been interesting to get to know Dutch before Micah stood in his way. Then Rockstar could show how the leader of the Van Der Linde gang gathered around him such a large group of people who trust and follow him.
- Because of the excellently written characters, the developers could also present the further fate of Sadie Adler, Charles, or Pearson.
- Wiethoff made no secret of the fact that he would very much like to work with Rockstar once again. In the interview, he said that it is possible to present an older John "as much as possible," but there would be a problem if Rockstar decided to make another prequel. Then his character could be there as a very young boy, and the actor himself, as he admitted, is 46 years old and doesn't sound like a 15-year-old.
