AC: Valhalla Wrath of the Druids DLC Features Revealed
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla fans discovered information on the content of Wrath of the Druids. The data comes from the 1.2.1 update files and includes new weapons, armor, and mounts, among other things.
The debut of the first expansion for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla was slightly delayed due to Ubisoft' s new approach to game development. However, we've already received an update that prepares the new installment of the Assassin's Creed series for the expansion. The patch has already been accessed by some impatient fans who found a lot of information about the content of Wrath of the Druids in its files. They shared their findings on Reddit, for example in a thread created by user AugostoRudzinski.

In Wrath of the Druids we'll be able to travel to Ireland, where - as Ubisoft's Hugo Sahuqueta said in an interview with The Gamer - Vikings have long since mixed with the native population. We don't yet know what role the eponymous druids will play, but their influence can be seen in items from the expansion revealed by dataminers. Along with the expansion we get new weapons, armor, tattoos, hairstyle and beard and mounts.
Among the weapons we'll find two types of sickles, a light bow and a large shield and spear inspired by the Celtic legend of Cúchulainn. AugostoRudzinski showed a total of five items, although based on references in the update files, he thinks we can expect seven more. As for the mounts, most of them are, of course, horses of various kinds, but there is also a place for a lynx. Information about a Celtic raven was also found in the files.
Ubisoft makes sure to stay true to historical truth in Assassin's Creed, but that doesn't stop the developers from adding some "foreign" cosmetic elements.
However, Wrath of the Druids is not only Celtic, but also ... Egyptian and southern European influences. This can be seen, for example, in the cosmetic elements for the settlement, which includes not only celtic crosses, druid stones, etc., but also a statue of Anubis and a lion from Piraeus. The same goes for other new items: in Ireland, we'll apparently find Byzantine spear and armor, as well as Egyptian and Greek boats. Nonetheless, most of the revealed new items seem to resonate with the theme of the expansion.
The expansion was originally scheduled to debut as early as April 29, two days after the release of Update 1.2.1 However, ultimately Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Wrath of the Druids will be released on May 13 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
