AC Valhalla Patch 1.0.4 Will Fix Saves and Add Options for PS5 and XSX
In a few hours, patch 1.0.4 to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will be released. It will greatly improve the game, fix the problems with save game data and introduce a choice of graphic modes on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles.
Today a new patch for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, the latest installment of the popular series from Ubisoft, will be released. The update number 1.0.4 will debut simultaneously on all hardware platforms. The size of the patch will be as follows:
- PC: 4.3 GB
- PlayStation 5: 2.5 GB
- PlayStation 4: 4.1 GB
- Xbox Series X/S: 5.3 GB
- Xbox One: 4.3 GB
The patch will bring a lot of novelties. On the Xbox Series X/S and PS5, a choice between two graphic modes will be added - Performance (the game adjusts resolution and detail level to maintain 60 fps) and Quality (maximum resolution and quality, but only at 30 fps).
Other changes will be available on all hardware platforms. The devs promise improved graphics, performance and game balance. Many bugs are also to be fixed, including problems related to save game data. For example, cloud-based saves will no longer appear in the menu to avoid accidental overwriting.
Update 1.0.4 is also expected to bring fixes for a number of gameplay issues. For example, fish will also spawn in Norway during bad weather, the NPCs will finally start to react to the theft of their goods, and shooting a bow from the ship will use up arrows. We can also expect general improvements in archery mechanics and in the behavior of enemies and bosses.
The patch is also supposed to correct the errors in photo mode, skills, interface and raid mechanics. All aforementioned improvements are only exemples. All in all, the update affects virtually every element of the game and should make it much more refined, which is good news, as so far the game has left a lot to be desired in this respect.
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla launched on November 10 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and the Google Stadia streaming service. On PS5, the game was released with the console's debut on November 12 in the US and November 19th in Europe.
The game met with a warm reception. It is the fastest selling game in the series. On the day of launch, twice as many people played AC Valhalla as Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.
