AC: Mirage's Features Will be Appreciated by Fans of Early Installments
Assassin's Creed: Mirage will offer a feature known from the first installments of Ubisoft's series, providing information about the game's 9th-century world.
Assassin's Creed: Mirage will serve the players a return to a more classic atmosphere not only in terms of gameplay. Ubisoft's upcoming title will also offer a database called the Codex.
This time this "bank of information" will take the form of a separate tab, where the players will have access to all tutorials and data on the history, art or culture of Baghdad and the Abbasid Caliphate at the time. The notes will be adorned with images, which will make their way into the game thanks to Ubisoft's cooperation with world museums.
Back to the roots "in full swing"
Information on the history of the Arabic world, however, will not be available immediately. Players will have to update the database by visiting historical sites, of which there are to be as many as 66 in total in the game.
With each completed entry, players will unlock access to more research-based articles on one of five main areas:
- economy
- beliefs and daily life;
- government;
- art and science;
- court life.
What is interesting, gathering information about the world of AC: Mirage will have tangible benefits. After collecting all the entries, Basim will gain access to a special - yet undisclosed - in-game reward.
It is worth noting that the newer installments of the series - AC: Valhalla or AC: Origins - have abandoned the traditional information bank in favor of special educational mode called Discovery. These - also offered as separate items for purchase - provided quite a good source of knowledge about the historical realities in which the title was set.
Thus AC: Mirage returns in almost every aspect to the roots of the series.
Let me remind that Assassin's Creed: Mirage is scheduled to be released on October 12, 2023. The title is headed for PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and Xbox Series X/S.
