Assassin's Creed Mirage Will be Shorter Than the Latest Installments

The weekend announcement of upcoming Assassin's Creed games is just the beginning. Ubisoft's vice-president shared more information on projects about the legendary killers. Among other things, we learned the estimated length of AC: Mirage.

On Saturday evening, during the Ubisoft Forward event, we finally got official presentations of the next games from the universe of Assassin's Creed, started back in 2007. In addition to the atmospheric trailer and screenshots we also learned some details about the studio's flagship project - AC: Mirage.

Back to roots, also with playthrough time

Vice president and executive producer Marc-Alexis Côté gave an interview for IGN, in which he revealed, among other things, the approximate playthrough time. Those who were tired of the almost endlessly dragging Valhalla, will certainly be satisfied. Assassin's Creed: Mirage is expected to be of similar length as the first installments of the series, so we should expect about 15-20 hours of fun.

"It [Assassin's Creed: Mirage - ed. note] is a smaller Assassin's Creed project. This was conceived [and] built to celebrate the 15th anniversary. So that's why we're using our modern Valhalla engine to build a smaller game that pays tribute to our original game by focusing more on stealth, on close-quarter combat, on parkour, and a denser city that goes back to our roots in the Middle East with Baghdad as the centerpiece," the developer revealed.

Shorter game = "lower" price

Shorter gameplay time also means a lower price of the product. In Ubisoft's official store Assassin's Creed: Mirage has been priced at $49.99.. At the time of writing this news, the XOne version is not available for pre-orders on Ubisoft Store.

The game is scheduled to debut on major platforms in 2023.. Unfortunately, we do not yet know the exact release date.
