Around mid-June, Asobo announced that A Plague Tale: Innocence will receive an update optimized for next-gen consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The patch's release date was given as July 6. However, there are indications that on Microsoft's consoles the release took place earlier than announced.

On Twitter, posts began to appear, which indicate that A Plague Tale: Innocence has received a major update on Xbox today. Interestingly enough, it's still not available on PS5, which may suggest that someone at Microsoft rushed to make it available.
