A Love Letter to Gaming; The Witcher, Skyrim and CP2077 as 'Living' Miniatures
Bored with hundreds of visits to the same location in your favorite game? This small channel on YouTube will enable you to fall in love with them all over again.
Have you ever wondered what Skyrim or The Wild Hunt would look like with a D&D camera?. If so, I have good news for you. Increasingly popular content creator by the handle Flurdeh, responsible for a series such as "The Beauty of Video Games". "The Beauty of Video Games" (in which he focuses on showing the beauty of the environment of virtual worlds and characters living in them), also asked himself this question. The result of his work are 3D landscapes from popular titles, turned into charming, moving dioramas. These creations were even admired on Twitter by Pawel Sasko (lead quest designer for Cyberpunk 2077).
Flurdeh's designs are reminiscent of stop-motion films (like Coraline or Mad God, which took 30 years to make). This is mainly due to the accelerated animations in combination with reduced frame rate - thanks to this NPCs dealing with everyday matters look like small toys. The whole thing is, of course, enriched with atmospheric music taken from the presented title.
Below we present what is probably Flurdeh's best work. It's very reminiscent of the recently released The Ascent or productions from the city-builder genre (just imagine Cyberpunk: Skylines).
Kaer Morhen and the colourful vineyards of Beauclair look phenomenal. It's just a pity that we didn't het to see Novigrad.
Ah those little giants - I guess that's what their victims saw after they'd been sent flying into the stratosphere. If the Anniversary Edition's teaser didn't encourage you to come back, this video certainly will.
There's not much to say... Columbia from BioShock Infinite is definitely one of the most memorable locations in the history of digital entertainment. The shots of the theater or the people dancing over the edge of the sky island with water falling off of it definitely deserve an Oscar.
I highly recommend getting acquainted with Flurdeh's original work, who has already announced the continuation of his work in subsequent games, such as Mirror's Edge Catalyst. And you, what title would you like to see in his series?
