There have been many speculations about the new Gears of War installment in recent years. At the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, the game was finally officially announced.

The game has been titled Gears of War: E-Day and is a prequel, showing the earlier adventures of Marcus Fenix.

The game is heading to PC, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. No release date has been announced. Like all other titles published by Microsoft, the new Gears of War from the moment of release will also be available in Game Pass, both on PCs and XSX/S.

The game announcement is exciting. Gears of War is, next to Halo, the brand with which Xbox consoles are most associated. It's been five years since the premiere of the previous part (Gears 5 was released in September 2019), so fans of the series were starting to get impatient.
