- After that, however, the number of players began to decline, and now the daily records are around 5,000. This is not enough to further develop the game, especially since its servers are a frequent target of DDoS attacks, which generate high costs.
- However, the devs do not intend to leave the players with nothing. The developers will provide tools that will enable fans to put up their own servers, thus giving them the means tocontinue playing.
- Dread Hunger will be pulled from sale on December 1. Currently, as part of the autumn sale on Steam, the game has been discounted by 50%. So if you are interested in playing on fan servers, you have one last opportunity to buy this game.
The closure of official servers saddens, but the very fact that the devs will enable players to put up their own is a pleasant surprise. Fans of most abandoned games can't expect this much, and now Dread Hunger has a chance to survive thanks to the community.
