Zenith: The Last City is an MMORPG, designed for virtual reality headsets. It was developed by independent studio Ramen VR.

Plot

Zenith: The Last City takes us on a journey to the world with fantasy and science fiction elements. Years ago it fell victim to the dark force known as Corruption. Despite the apparent collapse of civilization, it eventually managed to deal with the threat and rise from the ruins. However, the time of peace and prosperity is coming to an end, and the specter of the imminent arrival of the Corruption, which seems to be stronger than ever, is on the horizon again. Players take on the role of heroes who must unite and face the threat together.

Game mechanics

In Zenith: The Last City we observe the action from first person perspective (FPP). Game gives us a vast world in which we can find, among others, picturesque valley, sandy desert, dense forest and futuristic metropolis - the titular Zenith. Exploring it on foot is made more attractive by the ability to glide and climb obstacles. The driving force of the game are quests pushing forward the storyline, which are accompanied by numerous side missions (procedurally generated), as well as various events and optional activities. In addition, during the game we often have to face our opponents. During the clashes we have to show dexterity and reflexes, and the range of available murder tools varies, depending on which character class we decide on. While Blade Master eliminates enemies mainly with cold and ranged weapons, Essence Mage uses mainly magic.

As we progress, we develop our character and get better equipment, thanks to which our combat capabilities grow. In addition, the game implements an extensive crafting system, which, by using the VR headset features, allows you to prepare potions on your own, based on self-gathered ingredients.

Game modes

Zenith: The Last City is designed for multiplayer. The game allows players to join teams and form guilds so that they can complete tasks together and face their opponents.
