A co-op 2D brawler enriched with RPG elements, in which players play as Jenn and Tristan - teenagers fighting against goblins and other creatures that inhabit an alternative reality. As they progress, the Young Souls not only learn new skills but also gain more and more equipment, which increases their combat potential.

Story
The main characters in Young Souls are Jenn and Tristan, teenagers living in the town of Portsbourgh under the care of a kind-hearted scientist. One day the protagonists discover a portal leading to an alternative reality that is threatening life on Earth. Jenn and Tristan have to deal with the danger posed by the goblins and other creatures which inhabit this dimension before they can enter the human world.
Mechanics
In Young Souls the action is shown from the side. The gameplay revolves around traversing more than seventy locations and around dynamic fights against hordes of adversaries, among which we will encounter many powerful bosses. While fighting, we have to observe not only the hero's health point indicator but also the stamina bars (which we exhaust by dishing out subsequent attacks) and our mana supply (which allows us to use magical abilities). As we make progress, Jenn and Tristan will gain new skills and improved equipment, which will increase their combat potential over time.
Game modes
Young Souls allows you to play in singleplayer, as well as in a co-op mode in the company of a second player, who can join at any time.
Technical issues
Young Souls has hand-drawn, two-dimensional graphics in a cartoony style.
