XBlaze is a two-dimensional visual novel adventure game created by the studio responsible for the BlazBlue series. This title is fictionally linked to the cycle and constitutes its prequel. In XBlaze we play the role of an average student whose life is turned upside down one day as a result of extraordinary events.

X Blaze is another production of the Japanese studio Arc System Works, known primarily for its BlazBlue and Guilty Gear series. This time, we are dealing with an adventure game, which is connected with the BlazBlue series. The game is a prequel and tells the story of the events that took place 10 years earlier.

Plot

The protagonist of the game is Touya Kagari, one of the normal students of one of the schools in Neo Yokosaki. One day, a mysterious sound reminiscent of a ringtone brings him to a restricted zone, which was separated after an incident from 10 years ago. Inside the forbidden area, the boy encounters an injured man calling for help. When the hero approaches to help him, the man unexpectedly undergoes a transformation and charges fiercely. Touya is rescued by a young girl, armed with a sword, named Es, whom the boy had known before simply as a classmate. In this way, a series of unusual events begin, which will turn the life of the protagonist upside down.
