X Rebirth: Home of Light

Home of Light is the second big expansion to X Rebirth, available in digital distribution. The original game is a classic space simulator, allowing players to own a spacecraft, and be able to freely shape their careers through trade or piracy. German studio Egosoft is responsible for creating both the add-on and original production.

Mechanics

Home of Light offers players three new star systems, further expanding the complex economy of the X Rebirth universe. A new type of space stations has also been introduced to the game, focusing on trading in a given system. In addition to their basic function, they allow players to store goods. The expansion also includes new opponents, ships, technologies, weapons, and missions. The creators have also included new secrets, as well as interesting phenomena and events.

The expansion was released with the publication of the free 4.0 patch, which not only rebuilds the interface of the game, but also improves the management of our property, ship, and missions. The latter is possible thanks to the new virtual bulletin, presenting a clear list of all the objectives. The trading system has also improved significantly. Players now have more data than ever before, showing the history of price fluctuations in the market and the demand for specific products and raw materials.
