World Zombination is a light, independent strategy game belonging to the genre of MMO. We stand on the side of the people or the zombies and fight for dominance over the earth's globe, fighting battles in the streets of big cities.
World Zombination is a lightweight convention strategy representing the MMO species. This is a debut project consisting of several people from the American Proletariat studio, whose members used to be employees of Zynga and were involved in the creation of mobile and social games. Therefore, this title first debuted on devices running on iOS and Android.
The game is focused on the struggle for world domination between two groups: people and Infected, or zombie hordes. Players form guilds within both factions and then clash with the other side, trying to maintain (or take control of) particular regions of the world. The struggle for influence takes place during battles taking place in the streets of various cities scattered on five continents. Each agglomeration looks different and offers different gameplay conditions and prizes received after the victory. The different places also differ in how often they are available; for example, a skirmish in Paris and Moscow can be fought virtually whenever we want, while battles in Honolulu will only occur once every few weeks.
The character of the game changes dramatically depending on which side of the barricade we choose. The number of zombie troops goes into hundreds, but they are made up of common corpses, slow and not very durable. Fortunately, we can use the resources to develop selected units and increase their capabilities. Among the more powerful zombies are the extremely fast Runner, Spitter spitting with acid and a very strong Brute. The essence of undead fun is therefore to strategically use the abilities possessed by these special units and to complete the work of destruction using a hordes of deceased people. On the other hand, when we play on the side of people, we have much smaller, but specialized units. They consist of medical doctors, snipers and chain saw soldiers, which work well in short-circuit clashes. Playing here requires more caution and a more developed tactical sense.
In addition to the three-dimensional globe, in World Zombination we also see battlefields where the action is shown from an isometric projection perspective. The level of detail of the graphic design is not impressive, but it is clear and pleasing to the eye. What's more, the absence of unnecessary effects allows you to display up to 500 units on the screen at the same time. A relatively interesting feature of this production is the possibility of using a single account to play on different platforms. In other words, we can play on a PC and then reach for the smartphone and continue the fun from where we interrupted it on a "big" hardware platform.
