World of Western

World of Western is a browser-based strategy set in the Wild West. It was produced by Belka Technologies studio and the whole thing is based on a free model with micropayments.

We play the role of the newly elected mayor of a small town in the Wild West. Our task is to expand it to the level of a real metropolis. This part of the game doesn't bring big surprises, but it's polished and gives a lot of satisfaction. We build houses, sheriff training places, business structures and collect raw materials needed for construction. The player must balance the expenses, taking care not only to attract new settlers, but also to satisfy the needs of people already living in the city. It is necessary to feed citizens, provide them with a roof over their heads and find work for them.

World of Western is not only inhabited by pacifists, so if we want to succeed, we cannot focus solely on the peaceful development of our town - we must also take care of the safety of the inhabitants. To this end, we use guards to guard the city borders to prevent bandits from entering it, and we will train gunslingers and Indians specializing in various aspects of combat who will repel attacks on our lands. In later parts of the game they will also allow us to invade enemy territories - this element of the game is quite extensive. The areas surrounding our metropolis are occupied by various gangs and we must systematically clear the map of each of them, thus ensuring access to new units, buildings and improvements. The clashes themselves are played in turn-based system.
