World of Mercenaries

World of Mercenaries is a free online shooting where we observe the action from the point of view of the first person. It is the responsibility of the Polish company City Interactive, known for such games as: Sniper: Ghost Warrior or Combat Wings.

Unlike Team Fortress 2, for example, one of the market leaders in the free, team FPS, which takes shooting with a big pinch of salt, World of Mercenaries takes the subject seriously. In the layer of graphics, equipment and physics he focuses on realism. The leitmotif of the game - the struggle of mercenaries and terrorists - is closer to the classic Counter Strike than to the cartoon poetics of Valve.

The creators have implemented in the game elements known from role-playing production. As the game progresses, we gain the ability to modify the coefficients of the weapons we use and develop the skills of the character we control. WoM can be played alone, but there is a strong emphasis on a clan system with some social features. Within their framework, a mechanism has been made available which allows for conducting clan wars or determining prizes for the head of specific players.
