World Cup 98 is a football simulator prepared by EA Sports for the World Cup in France. Players have the opportunity to lead one of the 40 national teams (32 participating in the tournament and 8 that dropped out of the promotion bargain) to win the World Cup. World Cup 98 is the next installment of football simulators, which came from the hands of EA Sports programmers. This time, a well-known sports game developer decided to take advantage of the boom that accompanied the World Championships that took place in France.
In the game we can direct the actions of one of the 40 teams (32 participants of the World Cup plus eight teams that fought in the barracks, but eventually did not get into the main tournament). The program menu has been significantly improved, so it does not take too much time to get acquainted with the interface.
Before each game, a video with a view of the city and the stadium where the game will take place is shown to our eyes. The authors left us the choice of the level of difficulty of the game (Amateur, Professional, World Class), weather conditions (rain, strong wind, etc.), or the length of the match. We can also edit individual player features in any way we like.
Comments to the game are professional and rarely repeated during the game. Two celebrities from the world of football joined the group of commentators: Gary Linker and Chris Waddle. Graphics has been significantly improved compared to the previous edition of "Fify". Football players move smoothly and the animated inserts look very natural.
