Wizardry III: Legacy of Llylgamyn is the third part of the classic cRPG game, crowning the trilogy started in 1981 by Sir-Tech Software. Like its two predecessors, the game was originally released on Apple II computers, while the PC screens were released with a considerable delay.
The events described in the game take place for a whole generation after the heroic team known from the first and second parts of the series managed to recover the mythical armor of the Diamond Knight and bring peace to Llylgamyn. However, the peace of the inhabitants was destroyed by the unbridled nature, and the happy land began to be devastated by dangerous earthquakes and powerful waves of tides. The only rescue for the collapsing city was a magical bullet, guarded for centuries by the terrible dragon L'kbreth. As you can easily guess, it is up to the player to find the ball and defeat the monster.
Like our predecessors, we are dealing with a first-person dungeon-crawler in which we control a team of six daredevils. The action of the game takes place mainly in huge underground, from which only occasionally we return to the surface to rest and buy supplies and equipment. During the game there are numerous turn-based battles with randomly appearing monsters, which will require a lot of skills to defeat. That's why we don't create a completely new team in the game, but we import an experienced team from the first or second part of the series.
The mechanics of the game, the system of classes and the fight itself look the same as in the previous scenes. Equally strong emphasis has been placed on balance in the team, and subsequent (apart from the first) levels of sows require at least one good or bad character in the team. The minimalistic frame of the game has not changed either, effectively discouraging less experienced RPG fans.
