Mechanics

Wizard of Legend 2 expands upon the ideas introduced in the first game. It's a top-down action game revolving around dynamic combat against diverse enemies.

In battle we mainly wield a diverse roster of spells. Many return from the first game, many others are entirely new. To succeed, we must select our techniques carefully and chain them into mighty combos.

Apart from combat spells, we can also cast defensive and supportive spells to buff ourselves, for example, increase our movement speed. We must also dodge enemy attacks and different threats scattered around the map.

As we progress through the game we unlock new spells and upgrades, thus becoming stronger. The game also features roguelite elements. Death is permanent, but the player retains part of their progress after dying. Many map elements are randomly generated, resulting in a different experience each run.

Game modes

The game supports singleplayer and co-op for up to four players.

Technical aspects

Wizard of Legend 2 abandons the original game's 2D pixel art. The sequel instead goes for a cartoonish 3D artstyle.
