wipEout Merge

wipEout Rush is a mobile spin-off of the series launched in 1995. This time we didn't get a racing game, but an economic management strategy enriched with card game elements. The game was developed by Amuzo studio and it was published by Rogue Games.

Mechanics

Similarly to the whole series, wipEout Rush focuses on racing futuristic cars. This time, we don't take the role of the pilots taking part in the struggles, but of the manager of their team, and the results achieved by the whole team depend on our decisions.

During the game we observe the fight for victory on various routes running through five different locations. Apart from standard races, there are exciting duels with bosses. As we progress we gain access to newer and newer cars, as well as unlock various upgrades (both combat and performance enhancing machines). In addition, we collect special cards that allow us to learn more about the individual machines, pilots and tracks.

Game modes

In wipEout Rush there is an extensive campaign with an elaborate storyline. Apart from that, the game features single races and cup competitions.

Technical aspects

Graphics of wipEout Rush is kept in a colorful, cartoon style. The game runs at 60 frames per second. Gameplay is accompanied by fast electronic music, which increases the pace of races.
