FPP survival game in which we fight for survival in the American wilderness. As winter reigns around us, in Winter Survival Simulator we have to not only hunt and search for resources, but also take care of maintaining the right body temperature.
Winter Survival Simulator is a survival game developed by Polish studio Drago Entertainment and published by Movie Games. The project was created in cooperation with the traveler Marek Kaminski, who made history as the first lonely conqueror of both poles of the Earth.
Winter Survival Simulator takes us to the American Mount Washington State Park. The main hero of the game went there with a group of friends on a winter trip. Unexpectedly, the trip turns into a dramatic fight for survival, when the protagonist fell from a great height, attacked by a bear. He manages to get out of the situation in one piece, but on the way he loses his backpack, invaluable in such conditions. With only a few equipment and supplies on him, he has to do everything he can to survive and get to the abandoned park ranger station in time to call for help.
In Winter Survival Simulator we observe the action from first person perspective (FPP). During the game we travel through the ice-covered and snow-covered land and our main goal is to take care of the protagonist's basic needs. Although the lack of water can be dealt with by melting snow or filling a canteen in lakes or rivers, but getting food is a much more serious problem. Consuming fruit is a temporary solution, but in the long run the key to success is learning to hunt. It is worth looking around for traps left by hunters, which with a little luck can catch some smaller animal. Such prey can then be roasted on the fire; of course, to light a fire, we must first find dry firewood.
Complicating matters is the fact that it is winter all around. Not only do sub-zero temperatures pose a mortal danger to us, but the weather in the mountains can change in the blink of an eye. To prevent frostbite, from time to time we have to let the hero warm up. Wild animals roaming the area are equally dangerous. As the protagonist doesn't have a weapon, it's better to avoid direct encounters with wolves or bears, and if we're already spotted by one of these beasts, we should instead escape.
All this makes that spending the night under the open sky is not the best idea here. Although nothing stands in the way of building makeshift shelters, it's often more effective to use one of the abandoned hunting huts, in which we can find useful equipment and which, after repairing, can be a solid base. Traumatic experiences of the protagonist do not remain without effect on his sanity. If we don't take care of the protagonist's mental health, over time he will start to have terrifying delusions.
Winter Survival Simulator has a good quality graphics. You will especially like the environment full of details and the realistic lighting system.
