Wildlife Park Gold Reloaded PC

Wildlife Park Gold Reloaded for PC is a remastered edition of Wildlife Zoo – an economic strategy game, which came out in 2003. Apart from the base game, Wildlife Park Gold Reloaded contains the refreshed Wild Creatures DLC.

Mechanics

Wildlife Park Gold Reloaded is played from an isometric perspective. The player takes on the role of the manager in charge of the titular zoo park. One's main task in the game is to design the park, which includes mainly selecting an appropriate location (various parts of the world have different climatic conditions), placing cages and pools for land and water animals, setting picturesque pathways for visitors (enriched with footbridges or eye-catching waterfalls), and taking care of such utilities as toilets or food shops. It is also important to have qualified staff – though the player can hire representatives of over 20 professions, among the most useful ones, one will find restorers, doctors and animal caretakers.

Wildlife Park Gold Reloaded for PC offers several dozen species of animals. Among them, the player will find both aggressive specimens and human-friendly creatures willing to play. Tigers, gorillas, penguins, kangaroos or polar bears can be all found here; moreover, the aforementioned Wild Creatures expansion enriches the experience with more exotic creatures, such as Przewalski's horses, mammoths or dinosaurs – those can be brought back to existence in special genetic laboratories. It is also worth remembering about the visitors' needs, as the more satisfied the customer gets, the more money they are going to spend in the player's park. In turn, the more money the player makes, the more extensive the entire park can get. One can make the visitors more satisfied through teaching the animals some interesting tricks for example. Particular species can be trained using trampolines or music instruments.

Game modes

Apart from a free play mode, which allows the player to plunge into the process of expanding their zoo park without having to pay attention to objectives, Wildlife Park Gold Reloaded offers 30 missions – those require the player to fulfill certain tasks.

Technical aspects

Compared with the original game (which was released fifteen years earlier), Wildlife Park Gold Reloaded for PC offers mainly improved visuals adjusted to widescreen resolutions. Furthermore, the game has a new head-up display (designed for use of keyboards, mouses and touchscreens), and the players are now capable of zooming in the view in a smooth manner.
