Where's Samantha? is a platform and puzzle game. It was developed by the independent Respect Studios and was published by ROKiT Games.
Plot
The main character of Where's Samantha? is a piece of cloth named George, brought to life by the Tailor. When his beloved, the title Samantha, is kidnapped by a gust of wind, our protagonist has no choice but to rush to her rescue.
Mechanics
Where's Samantha is a side-scrolling action game. There are 45 different levels in the game, which involve not only jumping on platforms and avoiding traps, but also solving clever puzzles. The puzzles, the level of complexity of which increases as you progress, are based primarily on physics. By absorbing additional layers of cloth, George becomes heavier. He can also use them to create clones of himself, which he then has to use appropriately (for example, to manipulate switches that are further away from him). Keep in mind that George's copies differ in height, weight, and most of all - their skills. In addition to this, there are letters scattered around the locations you visit; as you collect them you gradually learn more about the protagonist.
Technical aspects
Graphics of Where's Samantha? was designed in an original style. Most of the elements of the presented world are made of fabric, while others are mainly everyday objects. We come across fragments of combs sticking out of the ceiling or even dens which are erasers with screws screwed into them. We can listen to the commentary of the narrator, played by Rufus Hound.
