Where the Heart Leads Description
Where the Heart Is is an independent adventure game, in which we learn the story of a family and the search for a home. The game was developed by the Armature studio, which in the past was mainly involved in supporting other companies in larger projects and ports of games from older platforms (e.g. Bayonetta or Vanquish on PS4 and Xbox One). The publisher is Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Plot
Where the Heart Is tells the story of Whit and Rene's family, who one night has to deal with a dramatic situation.
Mechanics
Where the Heart Is is an adventure game, where the action is most often observed from the side-scroll perspective (although the camera sometimes moves to better present us with a situation or place). The player's task is to explore the world of the game and move forward with the main plot thread. To do this, we sometimes have to solve puzzles based on using the right objects. From time to time we are also forced to make decisions that affect the continuation of history.
Game modes
In Where the Heart Is we can only play alone. The core of the game is a feature campaign.
Technical aspects
Where the Heart Is has quite an average, three-dimensional graphic design. In terms of technology, the graphics are not particularly special - the textures and models are not very detailed and the engine responsible for the lighting is obsolete. However, the game makes up for the charming, characteristic artistic style.
