When the Darkness Comes is a narrative game belonging to the genre of walking simulator, which was created by a one-man studio called Sirhaian. In this horror-themed game, players travel through a reality full of errors and distortions. The game aims at drawing attention to the problem of depression.
Mechanics
When the Darkness Comes is a short game with simple mechanics. Player's role is very limited: it focuses only on travelling through subsequent locations and interacting with objects and characters. In addition, decisions should be taken at certain points in time in order to continue the story.
