Wenjia is a platform game enriched with adventure elements, which was developed by an independent Chinese team called Dilemmastudio. This game resembles the award-winning platformer Ori and the Blind Forest with its aesthetics and gameplay mechanics.

Plot

Wenjia takes us on a journey to a fantastic land where the material world and the energy dimension interact and function in perfect harmony. This was the case until the place was haunted by an earthquake with tragic consequences - a lava escaping from the surface threatens the lives of mountain spirits. During the game you play the role of a cat, which as an energetic being can travel between two dimensions. Our task is to save spirits before they are absorbed by the flames.

Mechanics

In Wenjia is a 2d platformer. During the adventure you cross a vast forest, jump over platforms and avoid obstacles, which sometimes requires high dexterity and perfect reflex. The game is enriched by environmental riddles. There is a solution which consists in smooth switching between two dimensions, where different rules prevail.

Technical aspects

Wenjia has hand-drawn, two-dimensional graphics, which looks pleasing to the eye. Apart from that, the specific, fairy-tale atmosphere is built by a soundtrack recorded by Russian composers.
