Waves Description
Game Waves is a production created by a small studio Squid In A Box Ltd. We take control of the ball and try to survive as long as possible in the round arena. From all sides opponents are approaching us and we have to shoot them down or blow them up using a bomb. The gameplay can be observed from above, just like in the classic Asteroids games. The ball can be controlled with the mouse and keyboard, but the developers recommend using two analog knobs for this purpose.
In order to achieve the maximum points score and climb to the top of the network ranking it is necessary to increase the multiplier and eliminate large groups of opponents in one stroke. The gameplay is diversified by a number of power-ups appearing from time to time and a special ability of the Time Buffer, allowing for a temporary slowdown of the action.
The creators of the Waves game have prepared five fun modes. Crunch Time is about reaching the maximum result in three minutes. In Rush we destroy the cubes to renew time. During Bombing Run we focus on blowing up our enemies. We also have the classic Survival and the Challenge, in which the player's task is to survive twenty-and-a-half-minute stages.
Waves has a futuristic neon graphic design reminiscent of such titles as The Polynomial or Geometry Wars. During the game, the player is accompanied by a music track created by an artist nicknamed SMILETRON.
