Warface: Breakout is a tactical first person shooter (FPS) in Counter-Strike style developed by Allods Game, MY.GAMES' in-house studio. It's a paid spin-off of an online FPS Warface created by the Crytek team.
Mechanics
In terms of gameplay Warface: Breakout clearly follows the scheme established by Counter-Strike. Players compete in teams of five, and the gameplay comes down to fulfilling mission objectives and eliminating rivals.
Matches are divided into rounds, between which we can spend our earned currency on armory and armour. Both factions - Wardens and Reapers - have slightly different equipment, consisting of 30 different weapons to use on the five maps available for the release. We can find here, for example, machine guns and sniper rifles in various price ranges, which forces us to choose between buying a weaker, but cheap specimen or buying a more expensive alternative and risking that after death we will have to save a long time for better equipment. Players also have access to grenades, knives and many types of scopes, as well as extensive avatar personalisation options.
Game modes
Warface: Breakout for the premiere had only one game mode: Search and Destroy. The objective of the attacking team is to plant and detonate an explosive device, and the defenders try to stop them. The devs allow for play in two variants: Casual and Hardcore. In the former, at the beginning of each round, you get all the armour for free, while in the latter you have to buy it after each death, and the games themselves last a little longer.
Technical aspects
It uses the CryEngine 3 engine, just like the original Warface . Thanks to this, both the appearance of the surroundings and the animations of the characters present a high level.
