A debut project of the Third Wave Games development studio, which was founded by three famous programmers - Morten Brodersen (Blue Tongue Software, Rare Ltd), Johnni Christensen (Rare Ltd) and Phillip Table (Blue Tongue Software). Due to the fact that the authors of "War World" have worked on many next-gen titles in the past, the course of the game is similar to console titles. "War World: Tactical Combat" is a network-oriented tactical action game, the main attraction is the presence on the battlefield of huge mosses led by the players themselves. It is worth mentioning that the authors of the game put a special emphasis on the dynamism of the game. These mosses are watched from a third party perspective (TPP), in contrast to other titles of the genre, they occupy a large part of the screen, and the player still has a large field of vision.

In the fight itself the fun does not end, of course, in order to be able to proceed to any duels you have to construct your moss from the available components. However, the scheme of fights is quite similar to typical representatives of the genre, i.e. subsequent wins result in promotion to higher places in the rankings of players. In addition, each victory is rewarded accordingly. Depending on the type of competition it can be a free part or cash, for which you can buy various upgrades or extensions for your moss.

Singleleplayer modes are extremely limited and should rather be treated as training before the right battles on the Web. An interesting fact is that the victorious duels in singleleplayer can be rewarded with additional bonuses after uploading them to the producer's website. It is also worth mentioning that the game can be regularly expanded (upgrades appear every two months) with many elements created directly by the producers. These include, among other things, new skins (skins) for mosses, models of walking machines or completely unknown arenas and armament.
