War Wind II: Human Onslaught is a sequel to a real-time fantasy strategy about a conflict between four opposing races on the planet Yavaun. The continuation of the game is the work of the same duo of producers and publishers, i.e. DreamForge studio and SSI company.

The action of the game takes place after the events known from the first part and presents the further fate of the Great War. The Eaggra breed, who manages to liberate herself from Tha'Roon rule, forms an alliance with Shama'Li mystics called S.U.N. (Servants Under Naga'Rom), whose aim is to put an end to the tyranny that until recently ruled the nation inextricably. However, the situation is complicated by the fact that Tha'Roon once again manages to enslave the powerful and warlike Obblinoxes. Meanwhile, unexpected guests appear on Yavaun in the form of a scientific-military expedition of the Earth's inhabitants. Involving people in a foreign conflict results in the emergence of two hostile camps: those seeking to colonize the planet marines and those wishing to return to Earth scientists.

As in the first part of the game, the axis of the game is a fictional campaign consisting of more than 40 missions, in which we will command each side of the conflict, guided by their own interests. In addition to the Tha'Roon and S.U.N.'s new alliance, these are Marines and Descendants, introducing completely new units, structures and special skills to the game. This time the creators put much more emphasis on the development of research and technology and the advancement of individuals, which, as in the original, can be transferred to subsequent missions. The role of magic has also been strengthened, so that it can significantly influence the course of the struggle by strengthening or weakening units. New in the game is the ability to take over enemy structures and special finds scattered on maps, feeding our account with a certain amount of money or regenerating the energy of troops damaged in battle.

Technically, the game does not differ significantly from its predecessor. In War Wind II the graphic design was slightly improved, but it uses the same, somewhat outdated technology. On a high level we can extend the time spent with the game thanks to the included mission editor and multiplayer fun.
