War of Titans is an action browser game created by Bigpoint for hack'n'slash production (e.g. Diablo brand). As far as the plot is concerned, we are dealing here with a title set in the realities of Ancient Rome.

In War of Titans the player plays the role of a gladiator, and the main goal of the game is to develop the hero, make him a titan and gain glory - a value extremely desirable in ancient times. The creators put at the player's disposal four warriors - including three gladiators and one Amazon. Differences between them are limited to visual issues, as all elements, such as statistics or access to new weapons and armour, are fully dependent on the player's actions and decisions taken after the game has started.

The game is divided into two main modes - PvE and PvP. The first option involves doing quests commissioned in cities that you visit on a provincial map of the ancient world. Access to the latter is fully dependent on the current level of experience. The same is true for quests, which are unlocked as you advance to the next levele. Due to the fact that their number per level of experience is very limited, we are forced to spend a lot of time on fights in special arenas. We compete with wild animals (wild boars, lions, bears), gladiators controlled by artificial intelligence and other players (PvP).

The clashes are conducted in real time, on the fashion of the game known from hack'n'slasha. The player wanders through the battlefield, collecting goods (silver and gold coins, so-called jackpots and bonus bags) and clashes with enemies. In the case of more difficult fights, it is extremely important to use objects in the arena - trees, bushes, various combat machines and other obstacles (almost all of them, however, serve only as decoration).

The character card, referred to as "Depot" in the game, is the place where the player manages his hero. It is here that heals the character and repairs damaged armour (issuing gold coins to him), intervenes in equipment, among other things by choosing weapons, and also shapes the direction of the hero's development by developing his statistics - skills and features (e.g. strength, speed, dexterity). It can also use the Market Square at any time, through which it purchases weapons, armour and special items. War of Titans also allows you to create or join an existing clan.
