War in Afghanistan is an extensive strategy, which was created thanks to the joint efforts of the companies: Shrapnel Games and ProSIM. As the title indicates, the described production will cover a number of the most important conflicts and events that took place in Afghanistan in the last decade - from the British operations in the 20th century, through the intervention of Soviet troops, to the overthrow of the Taliban regime and the capture of Usama bin Laden himself (the latter event is for the time being purely hypothetical, but may prove to be true...).
While in most strategy games we can find only very general historical information, the full version of War in Afghanistan offers us a lot of materials "from the past", which for virtual strategists are almost as valuable as the ability to conduct events in a completely different way than it was written on the pages of textbooks. There is no shortage of real aerial pictures of combat areas, detailed briefings prior to subsequent operations, careful analysis of combat force and deployment of enemy troops, several types of radars to track the movements of troops, etc. - In addition to an interesting combination of entertainment and learning, the game will also encounter many non-standard situations, the solution of which will require the use of motorized troops or paratroopers (field locks, fierce defense of cities, etc.). All this has been enriched with nice visual effects (extended maps, zoom option), as well as atmospheric soundtrack.
