Brutal, two-dimensional platformer maintained in retro style. The hero of the game, the Viking named Völgarr, was revived by Odin to kill the army of the evil dwarf Fafnir. As we travel through an army of monsters in a land of monsters, we have to face stronger and stronger enemies, ingenious traps and powerful bosses.

Völgarr the Viking, released on PC, XONE, PS4, etc., is an old-school brutal 2D platformer, in which we lead the title Viking named Völgarr. The game is a debut project of the independent American studio Crazy Viking, whose creators have worked on high-budget productions for 3DS mobile consoles and GameBoy Advance.

Plot

The action of Völgarr the Viking is set in a fantasy world, referring to Conan's adventures. The game's hero, a warrior named Völgarr, is revived by Odin to kill the army of the evil dwarf Fafnir. To accomplish his mission, our protagonist travels alone through the land occupied by an army of monsters, confronting more than forty increasingly stronger opponents and avoiding ingenious traps. We will also face powerful bosses, often filling most of the screen. We have 7 different worlds to overcome, divided into more than 30 levels, which we can explore by choosing one of several alternative paths. The choices made during the game will eventually lead us to one of several different endings.
