Virtual Skipper 2 Description
New version of the race simulator, Virtual Skipper, published in 2000. As in the first part, the main emphasis was put on realism and faithful recreation of the conditions accompanying this type of struggle. The authors will improve the three-dimensional graphical engine, improve the sound and make the gameplay even closer to the real regatta. We can play in single player mode against computer opponents, with one friend on a split screen and up to seven other players over the local network and the Internet.
There are four types of boats to choose from (Trimaran Open 60, ACC, Offshore Racer and Melges 24), which we can compete in five picturesque locations, San Francisco Bay, Hauraki Bay in New Zealand, Quiberon Bay in France, straits off the coast of Great Britain, and cliffs in Porto Cervo in Italy. During the regatta we will have to cope with different weather conditions, sometimes directly dreamed of for sailing and racing (sun and strong, constant wind), and sometimes very dangerous (rain, fog). In general, the wind power is shown on a scale from 1 to 7, and the weather is divided into four types (sunny, rainy, stormy, foggy). There are three game modes available in Virtual Skipper 2: Match Race, Fleet Regatta and Championship.
