Viper Racing is one of the most respected racing games released in 1998. Depending on your preferences, it can be a relatively simple dexterity game, as well as a complex simulation, equipped with a very realistic model of damage. The title license is also a big attraction.

This racer is one of the first games in history (earlier this option appeared, among others, in Need for Speed) giving the opportunity to test the cult Chrysler/Dodge Viper. This vehicle appeared in several different versions. It is also worth noting that in the further part of the game we can unlock other vehicles (and even biplane), which are not licensed anymore. Viper Racing is produced by Monster Games Incorporated, which has developed many NASCAR series titles, as well as Excite Truck, designed exclusively for Nintendo Wii console owners.

This production has three basic play modes to offer. Quick Race allows you to organize a quick race. Before entering the competition you can choose the color of the body, difficulty level (three to choose from), course, type of competition and length of the race (usually this is to determine the number of laps). However, the career (Career) looks much more interesting. We can start here in the next championships, winning cups and unlocking new routes. Many of these elements are initially blocked. Between races we can also make upgrades, which are divided into several different groups. So we can improve the engine, gearbox, body, or take care of better tyres. Each of these items must of course be paid for. Funds are raised for winning further competitions. The last of the basic modes is Multiplayer, thanks to which we can face other fans of four wheels.

At the highest level of difficulty, it is very difficult to control the machine. It is advisable to have a suitable steering wheel. It is also worth mentioning that the smallest cullet may mean the end of the race. The player has to take great care of himself. An important role is also played by flawless knowledge of the route. In addition, we can make numerous changes to the vehicle settings, which are made in the garage designated for this purpose. The environment is fully three-dimensional. It is also worth mentioning that the race can be watched from many different cameras. One of them offers a fully-fledged cockpit. The routes are quite varied. We have here both sections played in urban areas, as well as in huge canyons. AI of computer opponents is very aggressive. Enemies can drive our way, forcing us to go to the side of the road or brake the vehicle.
