Victoria 3: Pivot of Empire

Victoria 3: Pivot of Empire is an expansion for the grand strategy game titled Victoria 3, released in 2022. The DLC was developed by the authors of the base game, namely the Paradox Development Studio.

New features in the DLC

Victoria 3: Pivot of Empire focuses on the challenges that geopolitics and the world economy had to face in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The key country in the DLC is India, for which these times were a period of social development, including the emergence of independence movements, as well as changes at the highest levels of government and the creation of the first private enterprises.

Events and journal entries dedicated to the East India Company, British India, the Sikh Empire, and the princely states have been prepared in the expansion. Thanks to the new historical content, we can see for ourselves a series of moments known from the pages of history, starting with the uprising of the sepoys.

The path India takes in this turbulent period largely depends on us. Although there is nothing to prevent us from leading them down the historical path, providing them with increasing autonomy, we can equally strive to keep this country within the structure of the British Empire, as well as try to influence the shape of the caste system by introducing new laws and initiating various events.

The icing on the cake is the new Harvest and Hunger mechanics, which forces us to gather food supplies for harder times resulting from special story events. The list of new features is topped off with cosmetic additions, including buildings, a thematic interface skin, and a map referring to Indian culture, as well as graphics presenting specific events and characters.

Game modes

Similar to the base version of the game, in Victoria 3: Pivot of Empire we can play alone or in multiplayer mode over the Internet.

Victoria 3: Pivot of Empire is not a standalone add-on, so it requires the base version of Victoria 3.

Patch 1.8

Along with Victoria 3: Pivot of Empire a free update to the base version of the game was released. The biggest new features introduced in patch number 1.8 include: refreshed political movements, improved discrimination system, and caste system (based on which the place in the hierarchy of individual social groups is determined).
