Vesper: Zero Light Edition Description
Vesper is a platform game with puzzle elements, in which you play the android, and travel through the fallen world to change the fate of your species. The game was developed by independent studio Cordens Interactive, and released by Deck13 known from CrossCode or The Shattering.
Plot
The action takes place 1000 years after the Vesper protocol was launched, which made the world fall and flooded it with darkness. As we take on the role of a small android named Seven, we travel through a world dominated by murderous and aggressive machines that are the remains of the ancient world. Despite the dangers, Seven sets off on a dangerous journey to change the fate of his brothers.
Mechanics
Vesper is a two-dimensional and observed from a side perspective platformer with logical elements, where there was no lack of escape sequences, because our hero cannot defend himself immediately. To get to a crucial place, we will not once have to sneak through enemy troops who need to know their movements and then sneak from one shady place to another. However, if we are noticed, we are about to escape to the neck, away from the chasing creatures, or death.
But then the android becomes less vulnerable, because it finds a special item during the journey. It is a Drive Gun that allows you to absorb light from illuminated places so that you can then fire it elsewhere and thus create a shadow so necessary to hide from your enemies. But that's not all, because with this weapon we can additionally take control of the enemy and if we use it for our purposes, we can safely eliminate it.
Technical aspects
Vesper is a 2D game with graphics in which black and white monochrome contrasts clearly with saturated colours.
