Vertigo Remastered Description
Vertigo for PC is a first person shooter that employs virtual reality technology. It’s the second project of a trio known as Zulubo Productions, which is known from an earlier release – a short game Directionless.
Plot
In Vertigo’s universe, humanity managed to harness the power of small black holes to produce energy through quantum reactors, which are vast installations, spanning numerous miles into the ground. In an inexplicable way, our hero finds himself at the bottom of one of these complexes, belonging to Planck Interdimensional Energy Solutions. There is not a living soul there, while numerous defense turrets, robots, and drones with deceptively charming “faces” are using every possible way to stop our character from leaving the complex. Our task is simple – helping our hero in getting out the complex alive, while discovering the truth about the reactor and the beings living inside its halls in progress.
Gameplay
In Vertigo for PC the player traverse various rooms of the complex, battling the encountered enemies using the space-time manipulator enabling the hero to slow down the passage of time and quick teleportation to a chosen location. The hero can use different ranged weapons (pistol, sniper rifle, and even heavier tools), as well as energy sword, enabling the player to deflect bullets. Boss encounters are also present.
Technical Aspects
Vertigo requires HTC VR goggles to work. Unity Engine 5 is responsible for the visual side of the game, while an 8-bit soundtrack has been created by a member of Zulubo, Zach Tsiakalis – Brown. The game contains a system of simple, plausible physics, allowing the player to interact with the objects in the game world.
