Vampire Mansion: And Linda Hyde Mystery is the first installment of a series of HOPA adventures with a friendly journalist in the title role. The production was created by Teyon Games studio in Krakow with a viewers from the casual market in mind.
The axis of the plot of the game are the search for five lost manuscripts. On behalf of a mysterious collector, Linda Hyde, a journalist and detective specializing in supernatural matters, undertakes to find them. Soon the heroine discovers that the trail leads deep into the secret world of vampires. The player's task is to help Linda search for manuscripts and at the same time destroy the intricate intrigue of evil forces.
The game is based on solutions well known to HOPA (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure) fans. During the game, the player has the opportunity to visit 40 locations containing puzzles such as "hidden objects" and puzzles in the form of uncomplicated mini-games. The level of difficulty of the tasks is relatively small, but there is a time limit for solving them. The creators also took care of a simple system of hints.
The quality of Vampire Mansion: A Linda Hyde Mystery does not deviate from the standards of the genre. Two-dimensional graphics are based on hand drawn backgrounds and simple animations. The party is accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack.
