Vambrace: Dungeon Monarch

Vambrace: Dungeon Monarch is a card game with elements of auto battler and tower defense. The production is the second installment of the series started in 2019 by the genre-different game Vambrace: Cold Soul (which was close to Darkest Dungeon). Behind its development are the authors of the original, namely South Korean Dvora Studio, which also has in its portfolio The Coma series.

The plot of

Vambrace: Dungeon Monarch takes us to a grim fantasy world. During the game, we play the role of the titular Monarch, i.e. the regent of the dungeon god, and our task is to defend the underworld from various adventurers and rivals of our ruler, who are trying to reach the golden throne and destroy it, leading to the annihilation of the entire dungeon.

Gameplay

In Vambrace: Dungeon Monarch the action is viewed from a side view, from a camera suspended high above the battlefield. The salt of the gameplay is skirmishing with opponents. In addition to this, from time to time we come to take part in random events.

Card skirmishes

During clashes we play cards that summon units to the arena and allow us to use spells and combat skills. Due to the fact that the number of cards we can take with us is limited, it is necessary to compose the deck wisely, making sure that its elements complement each other.

When one of our subordinates enters the battlefield, he attacks on his own, and we can provide him with support by playing cards that increase the damage he inflicts or provide him with additional armor. In addition, we can also spill some blood on our enemies by hurling lightning bolts, fireballs or salvos of arrows at them.

The production also allows us to erect defensive towers, which further increase our chances of success, as well as construct other buildings, such as those speeding up the recruitment of units or providing us with access to additional functions.
