GamingBolt: 4 / 10
V-Rally 4 requires immense suffering just to eke a modicum of enjoyment from its frustrating, archaic game design. The few things it does right is not remotely worth the price of admission.
TrustedReviews: 2.5 / 5 by Sam White
It's never that V-Rally 4 is actively bad, but the 16-year wait since V-Rally 3 is no way near worth it. No part of the overall experience surpasses the benchmarks set by more polished, mechanically complex, spectacular or enjoyable racing games from both the arcade and sim camps. Even compared to the universally disappointing Dirt 4, V-Rally 4 feels like it's missing more than a few tricks.
Eurogamer: by Martin Robinson
An unlikely revival that's spirited in its return to the genre's arcade roots, but that is uneven in its execution.

V-Rally 4 Description
V-Rally 4 is the fourth entry in the series of rally games. The title was developed by Kylotonn Entertainment and it debuted sixteen years after the release of the third game in the series. The title was published by Bigben Interactive.
Mechanics
V-Rally 4 features more than fifty cars (among them there are Porshe 911, Porshe Safari, Ford Mustang and Ford Focus RS RX) that can be unlocked by progressing through the career mode. The vehicles can be modified – the players can modify their statistics and adapt their looks to individual preferences.
While controlling the cars, the players participate in a few competitions. In addition to regular rallies (they take place, among other places, in Japan, Africa and Sequoia Park in the USA), there are Buggy, Rallycross (here under the name V-Rally Cross), Hillclimbing (players are climbing up by controlling the strongest vehicles) and Extreme-Khan (a variation of Gymkhana, trials that require precision and skills at performing spectacular drifts) available. Tracks feature varied environment – the races take place on muddy tracks, in forests, on snow, and on asphalt.
Technical aspects
V-Rally features three-dimensional graphics of decent quality. The visual side of the game is of similar quality as it was in the previous game of Kylotonn Entertainment – WRC 7.
